The composition of the Central election Commission should be formed to publicly, transparently, in the competitions – thus will be ensured the legitimacy of the Commission.
Such opinion during the press-conference in information Agency “ГолосUA” said the political scientist Ruslan Bortnik. The question of the formation of the Central election Commission (CEC) is a marker of how the elections will be held in our country, the analyst said.
“When the power is covert and hard fighting for the formation of the CEC, this suggests that the elections will be falsified, that is, it seems that honest, transparent elections are not necessary. There is an attempt to distort the work of this body. The CEC has always been a political whiff, but he always was a professional. The current coalition wants to have a stab at the 9 CEC members of 15 – such in the history of Ukrainian politics, I can’t remember!, – said R. Bortnik.
The analyst added that the deformation of the CEC was done intentionally he is seeking to force the national front to vote for the new composition of the CEC. Demarches BPP seemed logical to force people front make acceptable to the President option. It looks strange that the NF – the party – winners – will receive twice less, presently there is the attempt of the President to “roll” the Parliament absolutely way affiliated with the CEC, an attempt to put to the vote without an agreement with the people’s front of new members of the CEC, an attempt to immediately agree on the composition of the CEC is to play the game without the popular front.
“It is logical that the focus should be on reducing the fee, because without the Crimea and Donbas to reduce the number of CEC members is understandable. The CEC should be formed publicly, transparently, in the competitions – thus will be ensured the legitimacy of the Commission. New CEC would take two of the political cycle and elections 6. The quality of their work will determine the quality of government”, – said R. Bortnik.
The situation surrounding the CEC today shows a deep crisis within the coalition, summed up the political scientist.
